I have tried to login, but the page looks difference, and I don't know my password.
If the page that you see has the WEAVEonline logo, and a space for your username and password, use this link to access WEAVEonline. If you reached this page through a bookmark, please change your bookmark to either the Duke Assessment Page, or bookmark the page prior to entering your Net ID. If this page appears after the system has been idle, please close the browser window and reenter the system.
Why is the assessment tab that should be at the top of the screen not there?
Make sure that the entity that you have active is identified as being assessed. If you do not have access 'Admin Tools' you must contact a system administrator. If you do have access to 'Admin Tools' activate the hierarchy (under Admin Tools, Hierarchy-Entity Tree), then click on the entity. The answer to “will it be assessed?” should be yes. If it isn’t, right click on the entity to edit and change the status.
What level of access should I give to new users?
This answer depends on what you want the user to do in the system. We suggest a limited number of WEAVE administrators in any area, so please assign roles below the level of WEAVE administrator. Entity administrator is the next level down. They have read/write access to all data entry and some administrative functions. If the person does not need any administrative functions, they can be assigned the role of Entity – Write & Review. This role is primarily for assessment data entry. The only other role that we think would be beneficial is that of External Reviewer. This role is read only and only has access to the reports section. For a full list of roles, and access levels see page 16 in the WEAVE user manual.
How do I allow external people/groups to view
my information in WEAVEonline?
Since WEAVE is authenticated with Shibboleth, all users are required to have a Duke University Net ID. It is possible for external users to be given a temporary Net ID, but this must be done through OIT. It is possible to create reports in WEAVE that can be saved as a PDF file, then shared electronically.
My unit/entity has a extensive strategic plan, how do I enter that in the system?
We suggest uploading the document into the document repository (see page 18 in the user manual) and associating it with your mission. In addition, you should place condensed descriptions of your strategic plan in the strategic plan section of WEAVEonline (see page 17 in the WEAVE user manual). |
